SMEs Use the Momentum of the Rise of Tourism Sector
Business Action, Denpasar - The Indonesian Tourism Sector is experiencing a resurgence with the increasing number of tourists visiting. This momentum is expected to generate potential SMEs in tourist destinations.

Special Staff of Minister of Cooperatives and SME Hermawan Kartadjaja said, tourism is the only industry that requires the involvement of community or community. He asserted the advance of tourism, then the SME sector will also go forward.

If you do not know, yes how, SMEs will not go forward, '' said Hermawan while following the opening of the 2018 Sanur Village Festival (BSVF) 2017 at Segara beach, Sanur, Denpasar, Wednesday (9/8) night.
Hermawan said people should not only be spectators and workers. Tourism is expected to grow new SMEs.
'' People do not just work at the hotel, but open homestay, do not be a tour guide, but open a small but segmented travel agent. Do not just be an employee of a souvenir shop, but try to be a souvenir entrepreneur with open his own shop though small, '' said Hermawan who is also President of Asia Council for Small Business (ACSB).
Meanwhile, Chairman of Business Management Board of National Craft (Dekranas) Bintang Puspayoga revealed, BSVF event able to suck large participation from the community.
"This is amazing, the whole potential of people in Sanur and Denpasar can be involved starting from culinary, crafts, fashion, including involving PKK and Karang Taruna local," said Bintang who is also the wife of Minister of Cooperatives and SME Puspayoga.
The BSVF event model is considered to be developed in other areas. In this event there is synergy between local government and involving all elements of effort in society.
BSVF 2017 was opened by Tourism Minister Arief Yahya. '' Sanur is the best model of community-based tourism festival in Indonesia, '' said Arief.
Arief revealed, Bali is the best tourist destinations in the world even ahead of London and Paris. Nevertheless, at the Asean level, the growth rate of tourism in Indonesia is only 23 percent, ranked second after Vietnam with 24 percent. '' Hopefully this year Indonesia will be the best tourist destinations in Asia, '' said Arief again.
Ministry of Tourism also invited a number of areas to follow Sanur Village Festival 2017 this. For example, the Government of Pandeglang Regency, Banten Province, also opened the booth. Next month, Pandeglang will hold the Tanjung Lesung Festival.
"I always send stakeholders from other regions to study to Sanur about building community-based tourism. Sanur becomes a pilot inspiration for other tourist destinations, "said Arief.
According to IB Gede Sidharta Putra, chairman of the BSVF 2017 committee, the number of community participation is much higher than in previous years. BSVF this year is the 12th annual event, starting from 9 to 13 August 2017. He hopes the sales turnover of this international activity will increase from the previous year of Rp 16 billion.
