Castrol Mechanic Contest 2017 Reaches the Final Series

Business Action, Jakarta - Wed(9/9/2017), The rapid development of technology and workshop growth requires the mechanics to always hone their skills in order to provide the best service and advice to the customers. As a form of appreciation as well as a container to show the abilities and talents of the mechanics, Castrol again presents the competition to improve the ability of the mechanics through the title Castrol Mechanic Contest 2017.

After going through a rigorous selection process for 4 months, now Castrol Mechanic Contest 2017 has entered the Final round. 100 of the best mechanics from all over Indonesia will compete in the final Castrol Mechanic Contest 2017 to be held tomorrow at JS Luwansa, Jakarta (10/8).

Castrol Indonesia Country Manager Deananda Sudijono explains, Castrol Mechanic Contest is an annual agenda Castrol Indonesia which aims to improve the quality of service Castrol Bike Point. "Through this event Castrol wants to educate and improve the skills of mechanics and workshop owners through the competition, especially in the development of motorcycle technology," said Deananda. The competition provides great training and learning opportunities to improve mechanical skills so that ultimately it is expected to improve the quality of services offered by Castrol Bike Points.

2,000 mechanics from more than 1,000 Castrol Bike Points and independent workshops participated in the preliminary round which also comes with a training program. In that round, 1200 mechanics successfully qualify for the semifinals and have the opportunity to receive further training and will be assessed for their ability in writing and practice.

As the main prize in the final round, two winners, consisting of mechanics and their workshop owners, will be sent to represent Indonesia at the Castrol Asia Pacific Mechanic Contest which will be held in Bangkok in November 2017.

This Asia-Pacific competition will be followed by mechanics from 6 countries to compete for the best, with more challenges waiting.

"This competition will be a test of the mechanical quality of Castrol Bike Point Indonesia, while providing experience in international competition," Deanada said.

As a team of judges and the standard determinants of this year's competition, Castrol again entrusted to Astra Manufacturing Polytechnic (POLMAN ASTRA).

Representative of the jury team from ASTRA POLMAN Rahayu Budi Prahara explained that the main theme of this year is motor matic so that mechanics also follow the current trend and consumer needs. "The popularity of motor matic type, helped encourage the development of technology that grows more rapidly than the motorcycle and sport, so it takes different skills of mechanics to handle motor matic," said Budi.
