With Bekraf, Facebook and SiCepat, Lazada Education E-Commerce to SMEs


Business Action, Jakarta - Lazada, the # 1 online shopping destination in Indonesia and Southeast Asia launched the #UpgradeUKM roadshow program.

This program is part of the #KamuJugaBisa initiative released several months ago to facilitate the development of local SMEs potential in various regions of Indonesia. The inauguration was held at XXI Lounge, Plasa Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (8/8/2017) morning.

In line with the mandate of the President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, about the importance of increasing the number of new economic centers in Indonesia, Lazada together with Facebook and SiCepat Express will visit and educate SMEs in 11 cities in Indonesia.

In each city will be held seminars and educational forums to entrepreneurs, including local traders and SMEs about the e-commerce industry and the digital ecosystem and its potentials to be achieved in the future.

Florian Holm, Co-CEO of Lazada Indonesia, said, "Not only in big cities, Lazada will continue to seek, facilitate and help merchants and SMEs in various corners of the country in business development."

As a form of seriousness Lazada supports SMEs, roadshow #UpgradeUKM starting August 2017 will reach 11 potential cities across Indonesia and greet the local entrepreneurs and SMEs.

Bekraf has a similar mission to Lazada in supporting creative UKMs in Indonesia. Bekraf has three main focuses. Namely the coaching skills and business skills, help provide platforms selling, and encourage the image and marketing of products.

It is expected that through the #UpgradeUKM roadshow, more creative SMEs will be helped and encouraged to upgrade their business, even to the global level.

According to Ricky Pesik, Deputy Head of Bekraf, his side always supports and welcomes private sector initiatives to embrace and help SMEs in various regions in Indonesia to be more advanced, able to improve competitiveness and expand its business even more.
